- This presentation equips nurses with the knowledge and tools to effectively engage in legislative advocacy. Covering the basics of the legislative process, key healthcare bills in the 2025 session, and the importance of nursing advocacy, this session empowers participants to influence policy decisions. Attendees will gain insights into the impact of new laws on healthcare, strategies for engaging with legislators, and ways to advocate for patient-centered policies. The presentation highlights real-world advocacy efforts by CONL, including testimony on critical bills and media engagement. Nurses are encouraged to take action by connecting with legislators, serving on boards, and using their voice to drive meaningful healthcare change.
